Install unidex
Put unidex on a board, or update the one you have. Needs Chrome or Edge on a computer. No board? Try it in your browser.
- Plug the device into this computer with a USB-C data cable.
- Press one of its buttons so it's awake.
- Click a button below and pick USB JTAG/serial debug unit from the list.
Install
Starts from scratch. It erases the device's settings, including your WiFi and the keys saved for Notes.
The files on your SD card aren't touched, and your Pet's friends come back from there.
Update
Gets the newest version of unidex and keeps everything else: your badges, Dex, calendar, notes, settings, keys and Pet.
Nothing in the list?
- The device is probably asleep. Press a button and try again.
- If the board is brand new, or has other software on it, unplug it. Hold BOOT while you plug it back in, let go, and try again. Press a button once it's installed.
After installing
unidex keeps your files on a micro SD card in the device's slot. The card needs to be formatted as FAT32. To fill it:
- Send badges, the time and your calendar from Tools.
- Or copy the starter files onto the card
yourself. They're a
badgesfolder and an emptytimetable.csv. - For voice notes, add your WiFi and keys on Setup.
The buttons, the battery and resetting the device are on Help.
This is version … (what's new). The page picks up each new release on GitHub by itself.
