Tools
Plug the device in and press one of its buttons first. Needs Chrome or Edge on a computer. Nothing here is uploaded anywhere.
Your browser can't talk to USB devices. Use Chrome or Edge on a computer. You can still make and download badges below.
Sync everything
One click brings the device up to date. It:
- gets the newest version of unidex, keeping your settings and files
- sets the clock
- sends your calendar
- sends any notes that are waiting
Export your calendar as a .ics file once (Clock & calendar,
below, says how) and choose it here. This page remembers it. When your calendar changes, export it again over
the same file.
Badge maker
Drop in a picture and adjust it until it looks right. Then send it to the device, where it opens straight away, or download it as a 200×200 1-bit BMP.
Shown at 1.5×, the way it will look on the screen.
Plug the device in and press one of its buttons to wake it, then Send.
Pet
Pick each part of your Pet's look, give it a name if you like, and send it. It changes on the device straight away. This needs firmware v1.5 or newer, which you can get on Install.
Plug the device in and press one of its buttons to wake it.
Clock & calendar
Set the device's clock to this computer's time.
Put the next 7 days of your calendar on the device's Timetable.
- Export your calendar as a
.icsfile. In Apple Calendar it's File → Export. In Google Calendar it's Settings → Import & export. Outlook can do it too. - Drop the file in the box below.
- Press Send to device. Repeating events are included, and it sets the clock too.
Each send replaces the events already on the device. If you also use the Mac sync below, the Mac sends its own calendar the next time the device is plugged in.
Automatic calendar sync (Mac)
On a Mac, a small helper app can do the calendar for you. Whenever the device is plugged in and awake, it sends the time and the next 7 days of your Apple Calendar.
It needs Apple's free Xcode Command Line Tools (xcode-select --install). Then run these two lines
in Terminal:
git clone https://github.com/Forrest404/unidex.git unidex/tools/calsync/install.sh
When macOS asks, let it use Calendar. To remove it, run
unidex/tools/calsync/install.sh uninstall.
